Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and are dedicated to protecting it. This privacy policy outlines how your personal information is collected, processed, and used, ensuring that it aligns with our commitment to your privacy. We assure you that your information will be handled in strict accordance with this policy. The policies described here apply specifically to the webpages, newsletters, and opt-in announcement lists managed by Legacy Driving School. Below, we detail our Privacy Policy.

 

  • The student or the student’s legal guardian allows Legacy Driving School to maintain and transmit the student’s course records and other information on this form as prescribed by the MTO.
  • This information shall be kept in strict confidence and shall be transmitted in accordance with MTO decisions for the sole purpose and only as it pertains to the MTO regulations for approved beginner driver education programs.

 

What Information Do You Collect and How Is It Collected?

When you visit any site within the Legacy Driving School network, our web servers automatically detect your domain name and Internet Protocol (IP) address, which is a unique set of numbers assigned to your device. This information doesn’t reveal any personal details about you, other than the IP address from which you accessed our site. We use this data to analyze overall traffic patterns, monitor any potential misuse of our network, and, when necessary, assist law enforcement. What Information Do You Collect and How Is It Collected?

When you make a purchase through any Legacy Driving School website, we require certain details, including your name, address, email address, credit card number, and expiration date. This information is necessary to process and fulfill your order and to keep you updated on its status. Rest assured, your credit card details are not stored with us at all and other personal information will not be shared or sold to third parties.

 

Return and Refund Policy

  • Legacy Driving School’s course fees and deposits are non-refundable. If payment terms are not met, services will be suspended until terms are fulfilled.
  • Legacy Driving School will charge $30.00 for dishonored cheques.
  • The balance must be paid in full before the student begins their in-car lessons.
  • If an unexpected emergency circumstance arises, and a student misses a lesson, the student will not be charged. If there are no reasonable circumstances, in-car appointment cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the hourly rate of $50.

Terms & Conditions

  • Legacy Driving School requires the student to be ready at the agreed-upon time for in-car appointments.
  • Students must have their G1 license present for every session.
  • Legacy Driving School reserves the right to cancel the in-car appointments on short notice due to the weather, or other circumstances beyond their control.
  • As mandated by the MTO, Ontario driving schools are not able to issue driver’s license certificates. Instead, students must request a Drivers License History (DLH) from Service Ontario ($12).
  • Students from areas further from location will meet their in-car instructor at a preplanned pick-up point decided between the student and instructor.
  • The student will be certified online upon course completion with a minimum passing grade of 70% on all in-class or E-learning and in-car assessments.*
  • MTO regulations state that the course must be completed within one year of the course start date. Once expired, all data related to a course, lesson package or lesson will be archived and will not be accessible for any future course, lesson package or lesson. After the one-year, money is not refundable and services will be forfeited.*
  • MTO regulations state that students must have their G1 license before beginning in-car lessons.*
